Have You Been Mocked and Ridiculed Before? Has Your Life Been Subject To Ridicule & Mockery? Have Situations, Circumstances and Issues of Life Made You Suffer Ridicule and Mockery From Peers and Family?
Then today, I will show you how to end all forms of ridicule and mockery in your life. It is needful to do so because God did not create you to be mocked by men. He did not create you to be an epitome of ridicule.
Jesus teaching in Matthew 5:16 said:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
God desires that your life brings Him glory. By implication when men ridicule you and mock you, you are not living in accordance to the plan and purpose of God for your life. Your life is expected to bring glory to God, mockery and ridicule are foreign to you.
Men are supposed to look at your life and wonder, glorifying God. Just in case, they look at your life and mockery comes out of their mouths it shows there is a problem.
The life of every child of God is expected to be a sign and a wonder to the world. Isaiah 8:18 says
“Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”
A sign and a wonder can not be mocked. If God has said you are the light of the world and a sign and wonder and your life is still mocked it shows there is a distortion in the original configuration.
How then do you bring an end to mockery and ridicule in your life?
GET RESULTS
Results stops insults. People will definitely mock and ridicule you when your life is supposed to produce results and they do not see the results coming forth. A life without results can not escape mockery and ridicule.
Let me share a personal testimony.
There is a prayer group that meets once in a week to pray. When they began I said so many wrong things about them (which I truly regret). I made comments like "If I was God, I would blocked my ears with an earphone when they prayed", "They will soon stop it is just initial zeal (what Nigerians refer to as initial gara-gara)" and so on.
Just recently, I began to notice the amazing things this prayer group was reckoned to be achieving, how God was using them to do great things, even revealing deep things to them. I who criticized them before was tempted to join (I can not join though because the group is actually gender-based).
What happened?
RESULTS. The group began to produce results and I could not deny the fact that they were doing something very many of us, including myself, are not doing. The results they began to produce shut my mouth from being able to speak any form of criticism.
We can argue with the fact that a woman is fruitful but all arguments will cease the moment the woman takes in and after nine months gives birth. The answer to mockery is not an intelligent speech or an apologetic sermon. It is RESULT.
Even Jesus cursed a fig tree which did not have results (fruits) in Matthew chapter 21 verse 19. Without results, men will curse you. Your life will never escape the insults and ridicule of men when you fail to produce results. Both God and men are interested in your production of results.
“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”

HOW DO YOU PRODUCE RESULTS TO END MOCKERY & RIDICULE IN YOUR LIFE
What should you do to produce results in your life, results that will end ridicule and mockery forever. To get results you must
ABIDE IN GOD
Jesus said:
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
— John 15:5
We are likened to branches and by default we know that a branch can not bear fruit if it is detached from the tree. In the same vein, we can not bear fruits when we live apart from God.
Our lives will only produce results when we abide in God and rely solely on Him for sustenance. The easiest route out of mockery and ridicule to the place of overflowing bounties of results is by abiding in God.
I need to correct a notion and that is abiding in God simply means giving your life to Christ. That is only part the equation. The concept of abiding in God is about fellowshipping and communing with God.
Man was birthed from the womb of communion and he is expected to live by communion. Apostle Mike Orokpo said the answer to the chaos and turbulence in the world is men of communion. The world and the church is dilapidated and ruined because men of communion are no longer on the scene.
The only way you can turn around the mockery of me is for you to begin producing results and your life begins to produce results when you begin to engage God consistently in the secret place. Communion with the Father is your ticket out of a life of ridicule and mockery.
It is in continual communion with God that you can be sure of getting your prayers answered. This is because
"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you"– John 15:7
A man who dwells in the secret place of the Most High can never have his life in mockery or ridicule.
Why am I so sure of this? One of the things we do as part of our communion with and to God is the study and meditation of God's word. When we want to commune with God, we pick up His word, study and take out time to meditate on it.
Now see Psalms 1:1-3
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper"
The man whose delight is the law, who meditates on the law day and night (vs 2) shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. This man shall bring forth fruit in his season (vs 3).
The concluding part of verse 3 is overwhelming. It says "and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper". You can not afford to be unproductive when you are given to communing and fellowshipping with God.
If you are tired of the ridicule of men then you must turn your face to God and keep your gaze on Him until He turns your situation around. Communion is the Way.
Another way to end ridicule and mockery in your life is by
THE ANOINTING OF THE SPIRIT
The anointing of the Spirit of God is the most important capital of a believer's life. The anointing is not for men of God like we have believed it to be but for every believer.
Apostle Joshua Selman said there are two characteristics of a blessed man. One that man must have knowledge and secondly he must be very anointed. If your life must change, it will do so by the anointing of the spirit.
HOW DOES THE ANOINTING OF THE SPIRIT END RIDICULE & MOCKERY
How can the anointing of the Spirit eliminate ridicule and mockery in your life? How will the anointing turn your life around so that men will see you and all they will want to do is to glorify God?Let's look at just one scripture and that would be Mark 1:35
And when they had found him, they unto him, ALL MEN SEEK FOR THEE
In the scripture above, Jesus had gone to pray and when His disciples found Him they told Him that He was been sought by all men. Does this strike a chord? Does this ignite anything in you?
How can one man be sought by all men? What this implied is that Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, Publicans, Tax collectors, Fishermen, Priests and so on were looking for one man – Jesus. What did Jesus had that made this possible?
Relating "All Men" to our day and time. It means Politicians, Doctors, Lawyers, Bankers, Engineers, Masons, Educationist, Agriculturists, Children, and so on seek one man. What can a man carry that will make him to be relevant among believers and non-believers alike.
The answer is in Acts 10:38
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him"
The anointing of the Spirit of God was what brought Jesus to that realm of relevance such that all men sought Him.
Can that happen to you today?
Can you stop men from ridiculing and mocking you to start looking and seeking for you?
Yes you can! You can by becoming anointed.
The anointing is not for ministers of God alone. It is for every believer. It is for people who no longer want to be ridiculed and mocked by men. This is for people who want to be so anointed that their lives become a testament of the glory of God.
Would you end ridicule and mockery in your life? Then become highly anointed. Earnestly pray for the anointing of the Spirit.
