Gospelcaster New Year Message: 7 Failproof Steps For a Prosperous 2020

The fastidious desire of Satan to keep you from seeing the year 2020 has been apprehended and thwarted. The Sovereign God, the Lord, the great Monarch of Zion has by His mercies, grace and sovereignty brought you into the new year.

Truly, thus far has the Lord helped us. He has proven Himself mighty in all ramifications of life entrenching Himself as our shield, our keeper, and our Ebenezer. Glory, Hallelujah!

Special season greetings to you my esteemed reader. Without you, Gospelcaster would be nothing but an unprofitable idea. You have made it possible for Gospelcaster to have a success story and it is worth celebrating you for.

This year 2020, God willing, I would be rolling out more revelatory and divinely-inspired articles. The book store section of this blog would be stocked with various books from different authors on topics ranging from leadership to kingdom finance to prayer to the ministry of the Holy Spirit and much more.

2020 is a strategic year and it is my vision to continue to postulate sound doctrine even as we gradually go back to the original template of true Christianity. As you stayed tuned to Gospelcaster in 2019, I plead with you not to draw back in 2020. If you have not subscribed to this blog please do so NOW.

The year is just beginning and it is quintessential that we lay the right foundation for the year in order to ensure a prosperous year. Without adequate measures, this year would be no different from other years.

If we approach 2020 the same way we approached 2019, 2020 would be no different from last year. It is impossible to get a different result from the same process.

To avoid the recurring plague and peril of unfavourable years you must revolt against the old trend and quadruple the intensity of your approach.

What I am about to share with you is a list of foolproof, no-fail and authentic foundational blocks to give you a blissful 2020. The ideas I will be sharing in a short while will radically give you the 2020 you desire.

These ideas are scripturally backed-up, failproof, and success-guaranteed ideas. Let's delve into this feast of ideas that would shape our 2020.

1. Cultivate the Habit of Dwelling in the Secret Place.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. – Psalms 91:1

In 2020, make dwelling in the secret place your habit. Dwelling in the secret place of prayer with God is truly powerful. Nothing is as important, necessary and vital as it is. Nothing carries so much benefit as it does.

The world is designed in a way that chunks up every available time we have to invest in the secret place of prayer. Our academic pursuit, careers, trying to make ends meet, and even our "religious" activities squeezes out the time and energy for the secret place of prayer.

The secret place is your point of privately meeting with God. It is a place where you commune and have fellowship with a God whose ears are open to hear from you.

It is a place where He lets us in on His plans and direction for our lives and gives us the modus operandi for going about it. It is the most important place to be in; not your church auditorium nor your classroom nor your workplace.

No matter how busy your schedule is or would be in 2020, do not relegate the secret place of prayer. Do not be so busy that you fail to engage in kingdom business by staying in the secret place.

This year, I ask that you firmly resolve to be a dweller of the secret place, cultivate the habit of dwelling there and watch lines fall into pleasant places for you.

2. Violently Command the Year.

This life will never give you what you desire. Never! The only time you can get what you desire in life is when you demand for it. What you do not demand from life will NEVER come to you.

Your desire alone will not give you the 2020 you want to have. You must demand for what you want to see in 2020. Demanders not desirers get what they want.

In Job 38:18, God was asking Job a question. He said;

Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;

I came to understand from the scripture verse above that times and seasons can be commanded. You can command the year to produce exactly what you want to see. If you do not command it, the devil would give you what he wants to see.

Command is a weighty word. It is stronger than asking. It is an order backed up by a sense of authority and right. On the account of Jesus' death, it is our right to demand the good out of life but Satan would not let that happen hence the need to exercise our authority in Christ by commanding the things we want to see.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. – Matthew 11:12

If you have approached other years with gentility, this year you must change that tactic. Only those violent enough to command the year would get the desires of their heart.

The only means to get anything is to take it by force because life is not ready to give it to you. To this end, being gentle is unprofitable. Command the year! Make it work and produce for you.

How do you command the year?

You do not command the year by making claims and boasting here and there. To make a statement and issue a command in the spirit you must pray in the spirit.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Engage in violent and brutally-aggresive prayers to command the year 2020. Do not be weary. Pray ceaselessly.

3. Harness the power of God's Word.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. – Acts 20:32

The word of God is powerful. It is infallible. You can never go wrong when you are standing on God's word.

Like Apostle Paul in Acts 20:32, I commend you to God's word which is able to make your 2020 prosperous.

When Joshua took over the leadership of the children of Israel after Moses died, God began to speak to Joshua concerning his new role in Joshua chapter one. In verse 8 of Joshua chapter one, God gave an amazing strategy for enjoying prosperity.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

This strategy is summed up in studying, meditating on and obeying the word of God.

This year devote your time to the reading and studying of the word of God. Endeavour to look upon scriptures every single day of 2020.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. – 2 Timothy 2:15

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. – 1 Timothy 4:13

Do not just study the word of God alone, you would need to meditate on it. The word of God becomes more potent when you move from casual study to intense meditation.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. – Psalms 1:2

Your life would be like a tree planted by the river side which brings forth fruits in season and out of season when you delight in studying and meditating on God's word.

Studying and meditating on God's word is not the end of the equation. The equation is made complete with obedience.

...that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. – Joshua 1:8 (Paraphrased)

Until you observe to do God's word, your ways can never be prosperous. It is at this point that many believers fail. We study the word, some of us meditate on it but only a few of us obey it.

The word of God was not written to entertain us but that we through obedience may receive of the benefits of the word.

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee. – Exodus 15:26

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. – James 1:22

Your prosperity in 2020 is tied to your "doing" of the word.
Is it easy? NO, it is painstakingly hard to do God's word but the end product of obeying His word is worth the pain.

4. Serve God Wholeheartedly

And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. – Exodus 23:25

Service to God is a key to open the door of prosperity over your life and stopping the hand of the devil from inflicting sicknesses on you.

Personally, I have derived mind-boggling benefits from serving God. It is not even a choice. It is a commandment whose obedience comes with a promise.

See Deuteronomy 11:13-14

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

God is not a wicked taskmaster. He is not a shrewd manager. He is a generous and benevolent master who prides Himself in rewarding in accordance to the measure of work done using a just measuring scale.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. – Revelation 22:12

Serving God is lucrative. It has a great recompense of reward. God would reward your service to Him this year 2020. Just serve Him.

5. Seek and Follow the Leading of the Holy Spirit

O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. – Jeremiah 10:23

One of the greatest limitations we have as humans is our inability to know the future and discern the right steps to take.

This was the basis of Prophet Jeremiah's lamentation in Jeremiah 10:23. No man in his own self has the ability to effectively and accurately direct his steps.

Even when it seems like the step to be taken is the right one, Solomon comes with a warning that; There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. – Proverbs 14:12

In lieu of this, it is expedient that we subscribe to the leadership of a higher authority. And the only authorized personality we can subscribe to is the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can truly guide you in the way that is right.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6

You may think that your understanding of how certain things in life works is enough to help you make the right decision but the writer of Proverbs cautions not to lean on your own understanding.

The only form of understanding you should rely on is the understanding from the Spirit of God because there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. – Job 32:8

As much as you, seek the direction of God's Spirit before taking any decision in 2020. Seek His direction and wholly give yourself to His leadership.

2020 should not be a year where do you guesswork. Be sure of every move you want to make by consulting first the Spirit of God.

Jesus said;

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. – John 16:13

The Spirit of Truth who is the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. Not some truth but all truth. Whether it is in business, academics, family life and so on, with the guidance and leadership of the Spirit you can not go wrong.

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21

Seek and Follow the leadership of the Spirit. Your success in 2020 is hinged on it.

6. Engage in Profitable Ventures

Whilst it is good to be very spiritual, spirituality is not what would put food on your table. In 2020, engage in profit generating ventures. Do things that would generate income.

See what the Goodnews Bible says about Ecclesiastes 11:2
Put your investments in several places--many places even-- because you never know what kind of badluck you are going to have in this world.

See the same verse from the NET Bible
Divide your merchandise among seven or even eight investments, for you do not know what calamity may happen on Earth.

Stop substituting work for prayers. Do not be overly spiritual and neglect work.

Even Apostle Paul condemned any form of negligence to work in 2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

With all the spiritual activities Apostle Paul undertook he still worked to earn a living. Being spiritual does not mean you should be a liability. Spirituality is not an excuse for laziness. If you do not work then be ready to settle for mediocrity and less in 2020.

Discover high-quality, on-demand products you can sell. Market your skill and talent. Create products and services people desire and would patronize you for.

Don't expect prayer to do all the work. Use your hands. For whatsoever your hands find to do, do it with all your might.(Ecclesiastes 9:10)

7. Be Diligent

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. – Proverbs 10:24
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. – Proverbs 10:4

To have the best year in 2020, you must be diligent. Diligence is a vital prerequisite for prosperity. No lazy person becomes prosperous.

Maintain a diligent approach not only to your business but to your walk with God. Be diligent in your pursuit of spiritual growth. Be diligent in your career. Be diligent in your academic pursuit. Be diligent in your relationship with people.

Never give room for laziness and slothfulness. Quit you like a man; be diligent.

Conclusively, you would need to trust God absolutely without wavering. Let your gaze never shift from Him this year 2020. Do not lose sight of the El-shaddai.

With Him you are assured of victory this year 2020. See you at the top!
Compliments of the season.

Love, BEE
